Women play a central role in Nigeria’s agricultural production, yet many remain excluded from markets, finance, leadership opportunities, and climate-resilient support. These gaps limit income growth, increase post harvest losses, and weaken food security across communities.
PAWEN addresses these challenges by equipping women farmers with the competence, confidence, and connections to participate fully and profitably across agricultural value chains. Our work begins in Nigeria, with a clear and scalable pathway to expand impact across Africa.
We equip women farmers with practical digital skills that enable them to access markets, reach buyers, improve pricing, and reduce post harvest losses. Training is delivered in local languages and designed for adaptation across diverse African contexts.
Through Taruwa Marketplace, PAWEN connects women farmers to fair, digital markets. The platform, which currently has over 1,000 female farmers onboarded, is designed to evolve from a classified marketplace into a scalable agritech ecosystem that can be replicated across countries.
We strengthen women’s leadership and advocacy capacity to influence agricultural decision-making and policy, creating local champions who drive change within agri-food systems.
We build climate awareness, empowering women farmers with the knowledge and leadership to champion sustainable practices and protect their communities’ agricultural future.
